2023 Board Nominees and Annual Meeting

In accordance with Article V, Section II of the by-laws of the MILLS42 Federal Credit Union, be hereby advised that the Annual Meeting of the Mills42 Federal Credit Union will be held on Wednesday evening, April 26, 2023, at 5:00PM in person at the branch or via Zoom.

Board of Directors Nominations

The election of Directors will be conducted by mail ballot. All mail ballots will be sent prior to the Annual Meeting and the results of the vote will be announced at the Annual Meeting.

The Nominating Committee, appointed by the Chair, under provisions of Article VI, Section I, filed with the Clerk, the following slate of candidates:

    • Lainie Kerkian-Corso: Board member since 2018
    • Sandra Meneses-Faria: Board member since 2016
    • Joseph Thomas: Board member since 2005

In accordance with Article VI, Section I, of the by-laws, members other than those nominated by the Nominating Committee may, by petition signed by one percent of the members with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500, have their names placed on the ballot for the position petitioned. Each nominee by petition shall submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data similar to that received by the Nominating Committee’s candidates. The petition must be accompanied by signed certificate from the nominee or nominees stating that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office. Said petition shall be filed with the CLERK on or before 3:00PM, April 1, 2023 at the credit union office, 83 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA.

The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. Only those positions without a nominee shall be subject to nominations from the floor.

In accordance with Article VI, Section II of the by-laws, all elections shall be determined by plurality vote and shall be by mail ballot except where there is only one nominee for each position to be filled.
